Introduction

Building on the success of the charter schools initiative, IOC will expand their focus and support in the educational space through eXCELLENT SCHOOLS OC (eSOC). The goal is to establish 32 additional charter schools over the next five years to support low-income Orange County learners.

Background

If you live in South County cities like Irvine, Newport Beach, or Mission Viejo you may not be aware of the growing problem within the educational system. However if you live in Santa Ana, Garden Grove, or Anaheim you are all too familiar with the educational issues these cities are facing. The schools in these areas are experiencing high dropout rates, an under performing student population and failing schools. These challenges within the educational system have a direct impact on our local communities.

Plan of Action

To make these 32 charter schools a reality, funding and administrative support will be needed. IOC plans to drive fundraising efforts; focus on early stage charter school startup needs and support recruitment and authorization activities. The goal is to move the eSOC charter schools to a point of positive cash flow and sustainability.

IOC will be working with high net individuals, private foundations, family offices, and leading OC corporations to fund the eSOC initiative.
